Pre-Apprentice Donation

Our pre-apprenticeship program is designed to provide a deeper level of training for young people ages 12 - 15 who are interested in pursuing careers in game design and development. Over 83% of Black and Brown youth play video games, but less than 5% of Black and Brown people develop those games. Pre-apprentices receive hands-on training and mentorship in game design and development through Level Up Academy. Pre apprentices also engage in a 4 week internship where they apply their knowledge to development of an indie game. They also learn important life skills such as time-management, professional interpersonal communications, and setting SMART goals.
